I want to get rid of membership cards in my wallet by entering info and also capturing photos of front and back of cards - can this be done effectively?

You can attach photos of things like that to the relevant records in the Windows or Mac desktop versions. From there, they will sync to your iOS installation, where you can view them. However, at least for now, you cannot add the directly in the iOS version. That is a frequently request feature addition.

@tdbozarth: hawkmoth is correct: if you have purchased the Pro Features in 1Password for iOS, you can view attachments sync'd from 1Password for Mac or Windows, but 1Password for iOS itself does not have the ability to attach files. It's definitely something we'd like to add in a future version though. Thanks for letting us know you'd be interested! :)

I'll not be paying $50 for the ability to attach files. My guess is that this feature isn't in the iOS version in order to entice people to buy the desktop version

  • Of course that choice is up to you. You do get a lot more for your money that just one feature, though.

We do hope to be able to bring adding attachments to the iOS app at some point, in some form, but we just simply aren't there yet. :)

    Thanks!

@tdbozarth: By all means, Don't. You can use the free trial! ;)

Actually, attachments weren't originally even viewable in 1Password on iOS. It was added down the road due to popular demand as the platform hardware and software matured (and our data plans became more accommodating!) Adding attachments on iOS is a feature many of us here at AgileBits would appreciate ourselves, but there are a lot of hurdles to overcome (mostly relating to the lack of a traditional filesystem on iOS) and a great deal of work that will need to be done before this will become a reality. But thank you for bringing this up! It inspires us to work to make dreams like this a reality! :chuffed:
