I've taken the liberty of moving your post to the iOS section of the forum. since you are asking about an iOS device, you'll be more likely to get the help you need there.
(The current release of 1Password for iOS is version 6.0.1. I assume that is the version you are having difficulties with. I also assume you mean iPad Air, not iPod Air.
Could you describe what happens when you attempt to download the application from the App Store? You say it won't download. Does anything happen? Has the download paused midway? Have you tried restarting your iPad and downloading again?

@wboddie: I had similar issues myself. It took about a day before any of my apps would give me an 'update' option in the 'updates' section of the App Store. But if this problem persists, you may simply need to reinstall the app. All of this is handled by iOS, so there isn't any way for AgileBits to make 1Password update itself.
But first, be sure to backup your 1Password data! Once you've done that, you can safely delete the 1Password app and download a fresh copy from the App Store. But if it still isn't offering you 1Password 6 on iOS 9, you'll need to contact Apple to see if there's some sort of reset that needs to be done. Please let me know how it turns out! :)

I have an iPad Air 2 with iOS 9.1 and have 1Password 6.1. The 6.1.2 update will simply not install. It starts in the app store, then then goes back to install. All ofther app updates install just fine. Any ideas about how to resolve?

Hi @iankh,
Thanks for taking the time to write in. I'm sorry to hear about the trouble installing the update. I've personally had this happen with a number of different apps at different times... What usually seems to resolve it for me is either:
1) Restarting the device or
2) Switching to a different network connection (e.x. if using WiFi try cellular or vice versa)Thanks.

Ben, going to cellular only worked! Thanks!

I am having the same problem. A restart does not help, nor does a force restart. My iPad is wi-fi only, so I can't try the going mobile trick.

Is there a fix for this? I also have an iPad Air, and have the following situation:
- Initially, there was an update for 1Password to 6.1.2 that would not download. When I press "Update" or the "Update All," it simply does nothing.
- I tried rebooting my iPad, but this had no effect.
- I also deleted the app from my iPad intending to re-download it. However, now I have the same problem with downloading the app: when I press the cloud download button, nothing happens.
Please advise -- I really love this app, and would prefer to not have to find something else because of a glitchy release.
Thanks.

Hi @Jabbers
The problem is within the App Store so the fix will have to come from Apple. I've experienced this issue, on occasion, over the past 2 years. It's been reported on Apple's and various other sites longer than that. Whatever it is that causes this problem it's apparently random and Apple has yet to install a permanent fix.
I've been attempting to update the same 14 apps on several of my iOS devices for 6 days now. To my knowledge no consistently reliable workaround has been found as of yet.

I restarted and tried a different wifi network and the application still won't update.

As has been pointed out the glitch is not with our release, but with the App Store (or something between you and the App Store). If you haven't already, I'd suggest switching from WiFi to cellular (or vice versa) and rebooting your device. That usually does the trick for me when an app update gets stuck like this.
Thanks.

Hi folks,
I've merged a couple of threads that were discussing the same issue. If switching to cellular is not an option and rebooting has not helped it may work to download the app on a computer and then use iTunes to sync it over to the iOS device.
Thanks.

I'm having issues reinstalling 1pw on my iPad. I tried to update 1pw , and the iPad wouldn't update, so I erased 1pw (there were two copies/versions that I found.) I turned off the iPad and turned it back on, and tried to download 1pw from the app store. Failed, totally.

Hi @mjohns19,
Please try the following:
1) Switch from WiFi to cellular (or vice versa) or try using a different WiFi network
2) Restart your device: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201559
3) If the update still does not install, download the app on your computer using iTunes, then connect your device to your computer with a USB cable and sync it with iTunes. Please let us know how it turns out.
