@hguess: Sorry for the confusion! You won't be able to sync data between these, as 1Password 3 was discontinued long ago.

1Password 3 for iOS (technically 1Password touch/Pro) can only sync with 1Password 3 for Mac, and even then only using Wi-Fi Sync.

Dropbox sync no longer works in 1Password touch. Dropbox discontinued the API it was using back in 2013, so there just isn't anyone listening when 1Password touch tries to connect to the server.

That said, if you can tell me all OS, 1Password, and device versions you're using, I may be able to offer some more specific advice. Thanks in advance! :)

I am using a iPhone 6 version 9.2(13C75) with both my original [1Password version 3.7.2 Nov 2 2012] and [1Password version 6.1.2 (612002)] on my phone. At some point I was able to move data from the old to the new but keep using the old version to this day. I am using a MAC Pro OS X Yosemite version 10.10.5.

    Hi @hguess,

I've moved your thread to our iOS section for the moment as it sounds like we're only talking about two copies of 1Password on your iOS device rather than anything on your Mac.

When we released 1Password 4 for iOS and newer we never designed it to stay in constant touch with the older version of 1Password 3 for iOS (more commonly known as either 1Password for iPhone, 1Password for iPad or 1Password Pro). Instead it offered a way to migrate your data over from the older 1Password 3 to kickstart your usage in the newer version.

So here is where things could get tricky. We still have steps that will allow us to extract the vault from the older 1Password 3 for iOS but there isn't an easy way to merge it with data already in a newer version of 1Password for iOS that is sitting next to it.

We know you have data in the 1Password 3 for iOS vault that you need. Do you have data that is only in 1Password 6 for iOS, data that isn't in 1Password 3? I ask as one option is to pull a backup from 1Password 3 for iOS and restore it into a fresh copy of 1Password 6 for iOS. This will definitely copy everything from the older version to the newer one but if you have stuff that is only in 1Password 6 for iOS then we have to think of another approach.

I apologise that I've only brought questions, but until we establish where all your data is I don't want to risk suggesting anything that could accidentally lose something important.
