Hi @vittmast1986,
That's definitely strange - like Brenty, I haven't seen that happen with 1Password on El Capitan, and can't seem to reproduce it. Can you give us any additional details about that? For example, do you have 1Password in full screen mode? If it sometimes happens as soon as you launch 1Password, how do you get it back to normal? Does the same thing happen the next time you launch it? What exact version of 1Password are you using, and is it the AgileBits Store or Mac App Store version?
Thanks!

By the way, this does not always happen. Here a screenshot of the full window:

@fbengo: Thanks! We're looking into this, but if you find anything else that might help be sure to keep us updated. My initial thought was that this was somehow related to multiple vaults (since the switcher is being obscured by the widgets).
Would you mind downloading the beta version to see if that resolves the issue? I'm not seeing this in either, but I know that there were other 10.11 cosmetic glitches that we've fixed in recent betas.

brenty, I have the same problem. I have done two or three clean installs of everything. OS X 10.11 (15A284), MAS Version 5.3 (530029), extension Safari Gallery Version 4.4.0. MacBook Pro 13" mid 2010. FWIW, while this is reproducible, I cannot figure out a pattern.

Additional info, only one vault and iCloud sync

@brenty I have installed the beta version. The problem appeared the 3th time I started the newest beta version of 1Password:

No problem:
As you can see in the pictures, the top area including the searchbar has completely disappeared.
Its a strange and funny bug, because I cannot find a pattern... :)

And btw I am using Dropbox not iCloud...

OH @brenty , I actually found a pattern! It happens in turns. I started 1Password 10 times and it happened the 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th and 10th time.
@fbengo: You've got to be kidding!
I've recorded the error. Please take a look at this gif: http://g.recordit.co/YwmUM0S5lt.gif
Thank you so much! More ridiculous questions (because I'm still not able to reproduce this...):
- How many vaults do you have total?
- What method are you using to close and launch 1Password?
- Anything else in between, or are you literally just closing and opening repeatedly, and every other time the glitch appears?
⌘ Q
,⌘ W
,⌘ ⌃ Q
? - What are your lock settings (because I notice that the vault appears to be locked every time you open it)?

Hi @fbengo,
Interesting discovery of a simple pattern that you're able to consistently reproduce this bug with!
Like brenty, it's not reproducible for me nor have I seen it happen with any combinations of 1Password and 10.11 El Capitan, including betas of both. Hopefully your answers to the questions he asked will shed further light on it.
Thanks for helping to troubleshoot this! I've added notes from your posts, and others in this thread, to the bug we have filed for it.

- Two vaults in total
- I always use the 1Password shortcut in the dock to start it, and ⌘+Q to close 1Password. I use ⌘+1 and ⌘+2 to switch between vaults.
- Take a look at the attachments to see my settings ;)

Thanks for those answers and screenshots, @fbengo.
A few replies ago you mentioned:
I have installed the beta version.
If you're still running the beta it's strongly recommended having Include beta builds enabled under Advanced Preferences, which your screenshot shows is disabled.
I'm curious why you have Always keep 1Password mini running disabled under General Preferences, if you don't mind saying. Could you at least temporarily enable that and let us know if you're still able to reproduce the bug being discussed in this thread? And also check if it's reproducible with Lock when main window is closed disabled under Security Preferences while Always keep 1Password mini running is enabled?
Does it still happen after resizing the main window a bit?
Sure would be nice to isolate what's triggering this on some systems, while it remains completely elusive on others. I've tried adjusting System Preferences and other things that seemed like they might influence it. Sure is stubbornly refusing to reveal itself to me.
We'll eventually get to the bottom of it. Thanks again for all your help!

I've tried what you recommended and the problem only happens when I fully close both 1Password big and 1Password mini. It doesn't happen when let the mini 1Password application running. It is strange because I just found out that resizing the window solves the error.

Hello,
I can confirm to have also the same issue on El Capitan (final), and 1Password 5 beta 42.
I do have two vaults and Folder Sync enabled.Best regards,

Hello Yann ( @saphirblanc ),
Have you found any way to consistently reproduce this bug, similar to what @fbengo has described in this discussion?

Hi guys,
Yesterday I installed a fresh copy of El Capitan (No beta) and the bug is still present.

@vittmast1986 are you sure its random? In my case it appears in turns. Bug, no bug, bug, no bug etc...
@Drew_AG You're welcome ;)

I'm not sure that is a random bug but I also noticed that the bug occurs when i insert a wrong password in main vaults and then I close and reopen 1password
@vittmast1986: I'm not sure I understand. I tried entering the wrong Master Password and then relaunching the app, but I'm not seeing this. Did you mean something different? If you can tell me the exact steps you're taking to repeat this that would be great. Thanks in advance! :)

@vittmast1986: Hmm. I'm still not able to reproduce this. Do you have 1Password mini set to stay running (Preferences > General)? What are your Security preferences for 1Password? How are you closing 1Password —
⌘ W
,⌘ Q
,⌘ ⌥ Q

Hello, I've got the same problem it seems. For me, this is happening whenever the 1Password window opens such that it abuts the menu bar (which is by default for me, as I'm on a 13" screen).
Screenshot:
I am able to get the UI to display as it should by dragging the window, however the window jumps slightly when I drag it.
Details:
- MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2010)
- Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB
- OS X El Capitan version 10.11
- 1Password version 5.4 (540046) from the Mac App Store
- iCloud syncing
