Feature Request: add iOS "open in" support to protect our files
I develop files that contain sensitive data and also try to keep as many of my medical records as I can on my device so I can have quick access to them when I need them. I try my best to stay security focused and because of that, this is one of the few apps that I truly trust when it comes to keeping my data safe. Because of this I would like to request that you consider opening up the "open in" option into 1password so we can send a file that we would like to protect to it. I think in the process of "opening in" 1password, we could be prompted to select which item we would like to store it in and it could be stored the same way attached files are stored that are imported by desktops.
If there is a security issue with this suggestion, please do tell me what it is because in my perspective, iOS is one of the most difficult environments to create malformed files vs the operating systems that already support the drag and drop to import interphase.
As for people who want to be able to do this with the current build, there is a work around that will work if you desperately want a file stored in 1password. When I want to store a photo that I really don't want stored anywhere else, I base64 encode it and paste it's encoded form into the notes of an item. It then can be decoded later on in the desktop application to be brought back to its original self. It's a bit of work but as we all know, generally good security practices come at the price of convenience so for certain cases it's well worth the effort.

Hi @codykochmann,
Thanks for taking the time to write in!
Support for adding attachments from iOS is probably our most requested 1Password for iOS feature. It is definitely something we'd like to do, but can't make any promises at this stage.
The suggestion about base64 encoding images in order to store them in Secure Notes is definitely an interesting concept, but I would imagine the resulting text is fairly large in most cases, and Secure Notes weren't designed with that in mind.
Thanks!
Ben
