Unsaved password

I generated a password and thought I saved it. I went to retrieve it to get in my laptop and it isn't there. Can you please help me retrieve it?

Hey @Stephie15! Sorry about that! Could you give us a bit more information so we can figure out what's going on? Here's what we need:

• What platform did you generate the password on? (iOS, Mac, Android, Windows)
• What version of the app are you using?
• How did you initially generate the password?

That'll give us an idea of what's going on and hopefully we can help you find your password. :)

@Stephie15 Thanks for posting that info. :) When you generated the password, what steps did you use? To generate a random password in the iOS app, these are the typical steps:

1. Tap Categories and tap Passwords (if it's not there, simply tap + and tap Password)
2. Tap the + button to create a new password
3. Tap Generate New Password
4. Change the random generator method if necessary
5. Press Done and the password will be added to your clipboard so you can paste it. It will also go in list of Password items.

If you did this, could you try looking in the Passwords category for your password? If you didn't give it a name when you created it, you'll likely find it named "Password". You can also scroll through observing the date you created it (shown below the title) make filtering things a bit easier. Let me know if you're able to find it!
