How can I sync my iphone with my mac?

I know I cannot use wifi, so I am backing up on my computer to dropbox.

When I try to sync on my iphone, I put in the info, and it instantly says error null. It is so quick that I am sure it does not even check.

I NEED TO Sync. Why did you take away the option that when the iphone is plugged into the computer you could just open it on the computer and it would sync?

1Password Version: 3.6.5
Extension Version: 5.3
OS Version: OS X 10.10.5
Sync Type: dropbox

    Hi @mermaid76,

Since you're having trouble with 1Password on your iPhone, I've moved your post to our iOS forum. I hope you don't mind!

It looks like you're using 1Password 3 for iOS on your iPhone. The two sync methods in that version are Dropbox and Wi-Fi. As you already know, the Wi-Fi sync option in 1Password 3 for iOS isn't compatible with Wi-Fi sync in 1Password 5 for Mac. As for Dropbox sync, unfortunately that no longer works in 1Password 3 for iOS (and hasn't worked in that version for over 2 years now) because Dropbox discontinued the old API that 1Password 3 for iOS uses (the changes went into effect in early September, 2013).

1Password 3 for iOS was removed from sale on the App Store back in 2012, but we've released newer versions since then, and those newer versions can sync with 1Password 5 for Mac. The latest version for iOS is 1Password 6, which is a free download and offers free basic features (Pro Features can be unlocked with an in-app purchase). 1Password 6 for iOS requires iOS 9, but as long as your iPhone is running iOS 6 or higher, we can help you upgrade to a newer version and migrate your data from version 3 (just let us know which version of iOS is on your iPhone, if it's lower than 9).

Do you have all your latest 1Password data on your Mac? If so, you don't actually need to worry about the data in 1Password 3 on your iPhone - you can simply install a newer version of 1Password for iOS and sync the data from your Mac. But if your latest 1Password data is in 1Password 3 on your iPhone, this knowledgebase article should help you migrate that data to a newer version: How do I upgrade from 1Password 3 on iOS?

I hope that helps! Please let us know if you need help with that - we're here for you! :)
