Lost pro features after move to iPhone 6s

Hello,
I had purchased 1password 4 pro when it was released in the App Store back in the day and because of this received the pro features in the versions that followed for free.

I recently upgraded to the iPhone 6s Plus and restored it from my previous backup. When I open 1password 6 on my new iPhone it seems that I'm suddenly on the free version and lost the Pro features.

I'm logged in with the same Apple ID and I tried "Restoring Purchases" in 1password but it says that there are no purchases associated with my ID which makes sense since I never actually purchased the pro features but got them for free because I upgraded from the now unavailable pro version of 1password 4 (which I did pay for).

According to the FAQ on the website anyone who upgraded from the paid version of 1password 4 receives 1password pro features for free in the current version so I don't understand how to get the Pro features back and would appreciate your help.

Thank you in advance!

@rodiak: Indeed. If you purchased 1Password 4 between 2012-11-20 and 2014-09-16 you should be grandfathered into the Pro Features in 1Password 5 and 6...but that's a pretty big if, since that would have been a while ago.

Please check your records, as you should have a receipt for the transaction, and that will tell you for certain the Apple ID you used, and ultimately if there is a legitimate problem with the Apple's purchase records you may need to provide that to them.

There isn't a lot we can do on our end, since the App Store is owned and operated by Apple, but if you can send a diagnostics report it may provide some insight that could be useful to you if you need to get this straightened out with them:

    Sending Diagnostics Reports (iOS)*

*In 1Password Settings > Advanced > Diagnostics > Log Settings, enable In-App Purchase

Just send it to support+forums@agilebits.com so we can look at the logs. Thanks in advance! :)

@brenty Thank you for your reply. I followed your advice and looked for the receipt. I was surprised to find that I purchased 1Password 4 with an old Apple ID that I barely use anymore and since I didn't download it to my 6s using that ID it didn't recognize the Pro features. Anyway, I've now re-downloaded the app using the old ID and this has solved the issue.

    Thank you again!

I am a bit surprised that you were able to simply switch Apple IDs. For some reason I thought that Apple had made this more difficult. But I'm glad that you were able to get it sorted out. Cheers! :)

In case it helps anyone else, installing a fresh copy of 1Password directly from the App Store on the device itself using the correct Apple ID (and then ensuring you stay logged into that Apple ID) will allow you to restore the purchase, since it's tied to the account.
