iPhone upgrade trouble

Having trouble restoring purchases on fresh iPhone 6s install (using same Apple ID and App Store login). Tried hard restart, restoring from a backup via iTunes file sharing, syncing working 1P6 vault via Dropbox, reinstalling app. No joy.

Also having problems discovering Wi-Fi server running on 1P5.3 for Mac (same Mac as previously used) when connected to 5Ghz network. Feature works on 2.4Ghz.

What sort of trouble are you having? What steps are you taking, what happens, and what were you expecting to happen? Is there an error message?

When attempting to sync via 5 GHz do you have all of the devices connected to the same SSID (network name)? I've heard of difficulties with some wireless routers / access points where different broadcast domains are used for the different SSIDs and as such devices connected to the 2.4 GHz network cannot "see" devices connected to the 5 GHz network. I ran into this once myself and ended up resolving the issue by turning off the option to have different SSIDs for the different RF bands (so now both bands use the same SSID).

    Please let me know.

Hey Ben, thanks for the reply. Fixed my restore purchases problem with a complete iPhone restore and syncing with a router/modem power cycle. Thanks!

  • Thanks for the update, @mdawg! Glad to hear you were able to find a solution.
