Can not access / unlock my safe from Windows with the iOS app

I use 1pwd 4.6 on several Windows 10 PCs. Sync is done via Dropbox. Works great. Also access from Windows phone works.
Now I bought an iPad Air2 and wanted to access 1pwd from there. I am able to install and start 1pdw and connect to Dropbox. 1pwd will let me select my save (/1Password.agilekeychain). And prompts me then for my save password. But whenever I enter the password i get an error that the password is wrong. I can guarantee that the password entered is right. I even see the right password hint. And if I go to a web browser I am able to open this file in Dropbox with this password.
Any idea ????

  • @NewOnWin - This seems very strange as it should work easily on your new iPad. Can you try resetting 1Password on your iPad -

    Run 1Password on iPhone.
Go to Settings > Advanced - scroll down and tap on Erase Data and Settings.
At this point 1Password will quit and then when you run it again, it will start 'as new'.

Please let us know if this helps.

Well, i am not able to do anything in 1pwd on the iPad as I have only 2 choices after I start the app: create a new save or open an existing one. I can't go to a settings menu. Seems to be the default for the first start. Therefor I uninstalled and installed 1pwd again. But still same problem.

  • @NewOnWin - are you sure you are selecting the correct vault in your Dropbox folder. If this works on your Windows phone and you have the current 1Password app on your Windows phone and not the new alpha app, your 1Password vault should be in the location \Dropbox\1Password\1Password.agilekeychain

looking at the web frontend on https://www.dropbox.com/home i see directly in the root a directory 1Password.agilekeychain in which several directories exist (a / data / config / sync). And this directory is exactly the "file" which 1pwd finds automatically after i start the iPad app and choose to open an existing save on dropbox.
This is the only folder in have on my dropbox as 1pwd is the only reason i have a dropbox (prefer onedrive for all other files).
Do you think it would help to move the whole save into a directory 1Password? Or is there a way to set it all up new (backup the save using 1pwd ond windows; delete the save; delete alle files on dropbox and create a new fresh save (again on dropbox); import the backup)

  • @NewonWin - I'd like to ask you to create some Diagnostics Reports, one from one of your Windows PCs, and one from your iPad -

    —iOS—
    https://support.1password.com/diagnostics/ios.html

    —Windows—
    https://support.1password.com/diagnostics/win.html

Attach the Diagnostics Report to an email message addressed to support+forum@agilebits.com.

Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.

You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here so we can track down the report and ensure that it is dealt with quickly. :)

Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks very much!
