Export 1Password data to text or print?

I'm looking for a way to export all 1password data, or at least logins, to a printable/plaintext format. I realize that if this existed it would be a security issue. But I think there's a case for it as well.

I've worked in IT for 20 years, deal with several hundred accounts on many machines, and have found 1Password so helpful that I'm dependent on it now. Thinking about Lastpass's acquisition, and the efforts of various vendors to keep me in their own gardens, I'm wanting to reduce dependencies on any one platform or product.

I could manually copy all the information but a little automation and nice formatting would be useful. The idea is to put the printout into a bank safe-deposit-box, not leave it laying around the office.

Does this feature exist? Thanks,
Robert Grunloh

    Hi @rgrunloh ,

Are you syncing your data with either a PC or OS X version of 1Password?

    Hi MrC,
both -- I have windows, OS X, and iOS versions sync'd via dropbox. I have an android tablet but have not gotten around to it yet. Would like a linux client too (dropbox has one).

    thanks

    Hi @rgrunloh,

1Password for Mac can print out your entries. The PDF format is large, but for safe keeping as a PDF file, its sufficient. If you want a more concise print out of your data, you might like to try out the 1Password converters, specifically the onepif2html converter. Here's a sample. The output format can be easily modified if desired.

Don't worry about being walled-in. Your data can be exported to a human-readable, textual 1PIF format, which is standard JSON.
