Does iOS <-> Mac WiFi sync work in the background? Or do I have to do this manually?
I had used LastPass for years and just recently purchased 1Password for Mac and all my iOS devices. I opted to use WiFi syncing instead of Dropbox or iCloud and everything work just fine.
One thing I note is that the WiFi sync seems to happen ONLY if I open 1Password iOS app manually. Is there a way to make this run automatically, if the following condition is true:
1). 1Password iOS app is opened and left running in the background (open Safari, Mail, etc.)
2). 1Password Mini in OSX is running
The reason I want this automated: there will be times where I updated some entries (new login, updated password, etc.) from either my MacBook or my iOS devices and forgot to do the manual sync. I will end up not having the information when I am on the go and no way to sync since the MacBook is at home.
Devices used:
- iPhone 6S Plus (9.02)
- iPad Mini 4 (9.02)
- MacBook Pro 2014 (10.10.5)

If you're using 1P6 for iOS and 1P5 for Mac wifi sync should happen automatically whenever 1Password is unlocked on both devices. To be quite clear, 1Password has to be unlocked on both devices for wifi sync to work but, subject to that, sync should be completely automatic.

Thanks, Stephen.
Maybe there can be a feature where if there is a change made to an item in 1Password for Mac, the Mini Icon will indicate this (red icon with number, flashing icon?).

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm not aware of any current plans in that direction, but I'd be happy to pass the feedback along.

Thanks @bwoodruff. Right now I use a recurring task reminder to..well, remind me to sync 1Password on iPhone <-> Mac <-> iPad once in a while. ;)

Glad to hear you've found a solution that works for now. :)
