Help my password app disappeared!
I just updated a clients phone to IOS9 and somehow her 1Password app has disappeared completely. I've redownloaded it, but it will not let me recover her passwords. She only had the data in the app and not connected to iCloud or dropbox. She didn't have the app on her computer either.
I've tried all options to sync existing vaults. I have a very hard time believing that all the data is just stored in the app and somehow the OS just deleted it. I've tried restoring from a backup, but they don't exist.
Please help. We are talking about years of passwords just disappearing.

This won't be good news, but whenever an app is deleted from an iOS device, all of its data are also deleted. A dialog pops up to warn of this, and you have to agree before the final deletion happens. This applies to every application, not just 1Password.
If it is really true that the data haven't been synced to Dropbox or iCloud and there is no backup of the 1Password data manually to iTunes, I'm afraid the result will be that all of the data are gone for good.
Your post also says no backups exist from which to restore, so you can't restore from a backup. That would be the last option that would have a chance of making a graceful recovery.
For anyone else who happens along to read this thread, back up your data!

The data is backed up but she only has one icloud backup. I did a lot of research and it appears that it is not an isolated problem for this specific app to disappear once an OS is updated on iPhones. I found several other posts like this for previous iOS updates. I figured we had lost everything, but it's just incredibly frustrating that there is no way to fix it and there isn't a way to contact a person over the phone at AgileBits.

Hi @AshleyBright,
I'm so sorry to hear that you've been having trouble with 1Password! As Hawkmoth mentioned, if data is not synced it is stored solely within the app. Unfortunately that's how iOS works.
If there is an iCloud backup, however, you might be able to restore the device to the backup and get the data back.

Believe me, I know that this situation is rough. And I do apologize that it took our team a bit longer than usual to reply. The forums here are the best way to get in touch with our team - we monitor them 7 days a week, and as you've noticed, we also have a wonderful team of moderators who volunteer their time to help answer questions when we get busy.
Please let me know if restoring to the iCloud backup gets the 1Password data back! In the future, we always recommend ensuring that your data is backed up and stored safely somewhere off the device before upgrading the OS.
