Dropbox sync no longer automatic

Dropbox sync is working, but I am having to manually make it start. This is happening on iPhone 6S 9.0.2 (and possibly my iPad but cant check currently). I have 4 vaults set up. Previously (as in pre iOS9 and iPhone 6S - though I only had one vault back then!) the sync would start as soon as the app was opened.

Also an additional thing I have noticed is that on my iPad the 1Password logo that also swaps which vault you are using disappears from time to time, and I have to manually swap the vault in the settings.

  • Hi @MED1975,

I'm sorry to hear about the trouble. This should indeed be happening automatically each time you launch the app. Is this still happening?

Have you been able to determine under what conditions it disappears?

    Thanks!

    Ben

Yes it is still happening. Regards the iPad issue not spotted a pattern but once I switch vaults the icon stays there until my next session.

I have sent support diagnostic information for the sync issue which is obviously more than a cosmetic problem. If I look now it shows last sync 7 hours ago.

Thanks @MED1975. It appears Greig is already working with you on reviewing your diagnostic report. We'll continue to work with you via email in order to avoid a duplication of efforts. I've linked the two discussions together so folks working on the email side can see the details you've shared here.

    Thanks!

I'm also experiencing this problem. Same iPhone, same version of iOS as the original poster. Dropbox sync works, but I have to open the app before the sync happens--it doesn't happen in the background. This is noticeable when I haven't opened the app for a while but try to use the Safari plugin--recent changes aren't there.

  • Hi @lunchingfriar,

The issue the OP was having was that launching 1Password would not cause a Dropbox sync. What you've described sounds as though it is working as intended. Launching the main 1Password app will trigger a Dropbox sync.

    Thanks.

    Ben
