Question regarding Avast feature
I was reading a review regarding various anti virus programs for Windows. In this review it states:
Avast offers the basic antivirus, anti-spyware and browser protection combination, but also adds in a useful home network scan, telling you if you have weak passwords or other poor settings, a link into Dropbox – though you only get the standard 2GB any new Dropboxer gets – and a separate free app to protect your Android mobile, including anti-theft provision.
(Emphasis mine)
My question is how does this relate to our data in 1Password? Does Avast 'interact' with 1Password data some how to see if any passwords are weak? Does this pose a potential security risk?
Thank you for any info!

@ScarySulley: No Avast can't access your 1Password data unless you let it. Your data is only decrypted a little at a time, on demand. As far as I can tell, this is what you're referring to:
Now, it's entirely possible that there's some other password feature (some antivirus vendors, including Avast, actually install intermediate certificates that allow them to scan all of your traffic — including HTTPS — or simply offer their own password management software), but I wasn't able to find any other mention that would indicate that. It's probably best you ask them yourself though. Whether you're a current or potential customer, I suspect they'll have an answer for you. :glasses:

Glad to help! Again, probably best to go to the source, but I'm happy to have learned something too. Cheers! :)
