I have a new iPhone 6S. While I am very tech-savvy, I DO NOT HAVE hours on end to spend making individual apps function with every update/upgrade. How can I restore the function of my 1Password App that i use almost daily in the least possible steps?? Right now it freezes on the unlock screen with no way to enter my master password.

@ijulyk as your problem appears to relate to 1P for iOS rather than 1P for Mac I have moved your post from the 1Password for Mac forum to the 1P for iOS forum where you will get more help.

In order for us to help you we're going to need some basic information from you. Please tell us:

    • If you can recall it without being able to obtain access to the app, what version of 1Password for iOS you are using
    • Whether you sync your 1P data to any other device and if so to what device
    • If relevant, what sync method you use to sync your 1P data (Dropbox, iCloud or wifi)
    • Whether you have any specific backup of your 1P data

Thanks, Stephen. Yes, I accessed the app from my iPhone so this would be in the correct forum now. All I can tell you abut the version is that I am religious about keeping apps up to date. I am fairly certain I had the most recent version. That's all I can tell you without being able to access the app.

@ijulyk - You also can help by telling us whether you sync your data to iCloud or Dropbox, and/or whether you have made a backup according to the link that @Stephen_C gave in his post. If the answers to any of these questions is, Yes, your situation can be handled simply. But we need to know.

  • Hey @ijulyk! Without a bit more information, it's hard to know what exactly is going on here.

Right now it freezes on the unlock screen with no way to enter my master password.

Have you waited a few seconds to make sure the freeze isn't temporary? This could be due to a recent Master Password change that you made or a syncing issue, but it's hard to tell without more information regarding what syncing method you're currently using.

To make sure you have the most recent version of 1Password on your device, please open this link on your iOS device and make sure there's no option to Get or Update the app, but just an Open button instead. If so, you're on the most recent version! :)

Lastly, it would be great to know when this issue started. Was it when you got your iPhone 6s and began using it as your main device?
