Apps that are 1Password useful?
Seeing the list of IOS apps that are able to use 1Password are not sites that need any form of complex passwords. I need to be able to access stock accounts, bank accounts, credit accounts, health portals that I would like to keep very secure. There no airline sites either. Am I missing something? I did enable the extension.

The developers of the apps that allow the 1Password extension to submit credentials must add some special code to allow 1Password to communicate with them. If they don't do so, Apple's sandboxing requirement prevent the needed data to be passed. For applications that haven't done that, your only option will be to copy from 1Password and paste into those apps.
I'm not a coder, but it seems like adding the needed code to allow this isn't very hard to do. This article tells them how to do it. Maybe it's worth attempting to encourage those businesses to add the capability.
I've been hanging around the forum long enough to know that business like the ones you mention are notoriously and ignorantly hostile to the use of password managers at all. Some will go so far as to prevent pasting passwords into the required fields, thereby encouraging the use of weak passwords.

You can add the Hertz rental car app to the list of not accepting pasted passwords.

Hey @rgmcleod,
Am I missing something? I did enable the extension.
With the Extension enabled, you'll be able to quickly fill your details in apps that have support for it. As hawkmoth mentioned, the list of apps that support 1Password's Extension is still growing. You can always recommend to the developers that they add support for it. ;) In the meantime, you should be able to simply copy your passwords from the iOS app by tapping them and selecting Copy and then paste them into the password field of the app you want to log into.
You can add the Hertz rental car app to the list of not accepting pasted passwords.
The app simply doesn't accept a password when you paste it? Are you sure the password has been pasted correctly and that the field isn't empty? It shouldn't be denying a password that you copied from 1Password unless that password is incorrect.

The app will usually let me paste in the password, but then the login button as a member button stays grayed out and will not activate. If you type in just the first character of the password, the login as a member button "lights up and you finished typing in the password and away you go. Sort of like the sites on Safari that will not accept a mechanically pasted username and password.

@Steve_H Thanks for updating us on that. It looks like it's due to Hertz not allowing pasting in their app. Unfortunately, we can't do much about this. If you'd like to contact them to ask them to update their apps with pasting capability so you can use your favorite password manager ( 1Password <3 ), feel free to go for it! If you don't hear back from them, let us know and we'll drop them a line as well.

They never got back to me, but with the latest update, if you hold your finger on the password line until the magnifying glass comes up, you can paste the password in. It seems that some of the apps are filling in the password from right to left vs left to right might be causing the problem. FWIW.
