the new update seemed to fix the slow opening when using the password but it was noticeable slow when using the touch id. I have an iphone 6s running ios 9.02. I am not exactly sure when all this started but it has been irritating slow opening,

    Hi, I agree with this.
I have just installed your latest fix v6.02
It solves part of the problem.

When TouchID is not set, I just have to enter my long and complicated main password, and it is as it used to be, fast, on my iPhone 6+ 128Gb

But if I set Touch ID to on , then it is slow again to launch as with v6.01 (about 12 second wait)
I have sent a diagnostic file.

This seems to be a tough problem as I do not want to enter my long pasSword all the time!

    Keep working hard :-)

Glad to hear 6.0.2 helped some. We received your new diagnostic report and we'll continue to try and track down this bug.

    Hi,
Here is an update after iOS9.1 just released.
Same symptoms as already published. No change.
Slow launch if TouchID enabled (20sec) and crashes if many apps open (memory refresh required).
Hope this helps your bug team, on top of the numerous diagnostic reports already sent.
    Regards

Same bug...subscribing here so I can follow any updates. Really is super annoying, but I know you are all working hard on a fix.

  • Indeed. I just had a conversation with our iOS developer assigned to this issue about this today. He believes he has found a fix for the issue. If all goes well we will include in the next update. Fingers crossed. :)

We'll also be filing a bug report with Apple, so that hopefully they can address the difficulty that we ran up against.
