Ability to change the category and customise category templates

I often find that I need to create an entry in 1password on my iPhone or iPad, but don't yet have login details or a website. This means that I am unable to create an entry of type 'login'. There doesn't seem to be a way to change the category at a later date so it can be used to log in to websites. This is just one example, but I guess what I am asking for is a way to be able to change the categories of existing entries. I would also like to be able to set up custom category templates (including customising the built in category templates) that are available on all devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac etc).
