Incomplete sync after manually migrating to OPVault: 128 items missing
I followed the instructions on https://support.1password.com/switch-to-opvault/ to manually migrate to OPVault. However, after I let Dropbox complete the sync of the new 1Password.opvault file and reconfigured 1Password for iOS I only had a subset of all items on iOS. The difference is 128 (a "nice" number, but that might be coincidence since the total numbers of item on Mac and iOS are both not). Additional syncs do not help.
How can I get all items on iOS while not reverting to the agilekeychain format?
1Password Version: 6.0.2
Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: OS X 10.11
Sync Type: Dropbox

Since I really need my passwords at work tomorrow I reverted to agilekeychain for now (after trying to get OPVault to sync all items for about 1,5 hours without success). Syncing seems to be much slower now, but at least all items are synchronised.
With what I learned about the privacy issues related to the agilekeychain format (public metadata) I want to migrate to OPVault as soon as possible.
Please help me make that sync all items.

Did you happen to use my converter to create this data? If so, it turns out that the new OPVault format relies on uppercase UUID values, and the converter created lowercase UUID values. AgileBits has found the issue, and has made a fix. Get the following version:
5.4.1.BETA-1 (build #541001) - Released 2015-10-20
I've updated the converter to version 1.07, which will output uppercase UUID values.

I have indeed experimented with your converter to import my LastPass export some time ago. I think I used that and enriched the data afterwards, so I'd rather not import again from scratch.
What does this 5.4.1 beta version do? Convert the case? Handle the case? If I run that beta I don't need to use your converter again?
I have never used a 1Password Beta before. How do I get that? Do I need to signup for something? Or is there a public download location? Which?

@XIII ,
The updated 1Password will do the right thing with your existing dats. You do not need to convert again.
Just enable beta releases in your preferences, and check for updates. Alternatively, you can go here: https://agilebits.com/downloads
And click the Enable Betas and then download.

Thank you! Hope to test this tonight or tomorrow.

AgileBits released 5.4.1 build 541003 today, but this does not seem to solve my problem:
19 more items are synchronised compared to yesterday, but still 108 are missing... :(
(I think I miscalculated yesterday; the difference was 127 items; number 128 was a fake item I added in an attempt to force a sync, but that did not help, so I removed it again)

You really got me worried here:
After I selected the agilekeychain in 1Password for iOS (because I need all passwords in my vault!) I got a white screen called "Dropbox" with only a cancel button... It took several minutes before I could enter the password of the vault on that screen. Luckily, all items synchronised then.
But I really want to use OPVault! How to continue?

Is there a way to check the case of the UUID's? Or something else I can try?

Hi @XIII ,
The case of the UUIDs should no longer matter with the updated 1Password. But you can check them by selecting an item and copying the JSON output, and looking at the uuid value (or you can export to 1PIF and examine there). Be sure to clear your copied value, or delete the exported 1PIF when you're done.
I've asked someone from AgileBits to pick up this one; you may be hitting an OPVault sync issue that some others have hit too. Stay tuned...

Thanks! I'll stay tuned...

Hi @XIII,
I have what may seem like a silly question, but I want to make sure we're on the same page... You mention there are a number of items that do not appear in the OPVault. Is this a result of comparing the number of items only, or have you actually been able to verify that there are specific items that exist in the Agile Keychain but do not exist in the OPVault?
Please let me know. Thanks!
Ben

Tried the entire migration again (results are always the same, and disappointing):
- 1Password on my Mac reports 428 items, 1Password on my iOS devices reports 301 items.
- 1Password on my Mac reports 11 favourites, 1Password on my iOS devices reports 8 favourites.
- 3 favourites on my Mac (2 login items, 1 email account) are really missing on iOS.
- I did not check the other 124 missing items...
Please help.

Hello @XIII,
I'm really sorry for the additional trouble you're running into with the switch to OPVault.
I'd like to ask you to create a Diagnostics Report from your iOS device:
https://support.1password.com/diagnostics/ios.html
Attach the Diagnostics Report to an email message addressed to support+forum@agilebits.com.
Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.
You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here so we can track down the report and ensure that it is dealt with quickly. :)
Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks very much!

Hi, as I'm unable to use my Mac for the next couple of days and really need my passwords on iOS in that timeframe, I have reverted to the old format again. I probably won't have time to experiment until the end of next week, but I'll put it on my todo list.
(I guess you need a diagnostic report after an OPVault sync and not one using the current agilekeychain format?)

@XIII: Again, I'm sorry for the trouble you're having, but I do have a similar question to the one Ben had: are you simply going 'by the numbers', or are there specific items you're missing? Often it's easy to misconstrue the item count from a backup or export (which includes Trash, folders, etc.) and think that something is missing when it isn't. Be sure to let us know! And do send the report if you're still having this problem.

As I tried to explain in my reply to Ben I checked that there are really items missing.

Thanks, XIII. Did you get a chance to send that diagnostic report in to us yet? I'm not seeing it in the inbox.
If not, when you do send it, please post the support ID you get back here.
We'd like to have the report created directly after attempting the transition to OPVault.
Thanks.
Ben

No, I did not have time to experiment yet. Maybe in the weekend. Sorry.
Oh, might it be worthwhile to see what happens if I try switching to OPVault on my MacBook Pro at work instead of my Mac mini at home?
(They currently sync via an Agilekeychain on Dropbox, so I expect the result to be the same)

Both use 5.4.1. I am going to take the MacBook Pro home to do some experiments this weekend.

Please do keep us updated @XIII and hopefully we can iron this out. Thankfully we are aware of the bug and trying to get this fixed so hopefully we can keep making progress in getting you moved over to the OPVault format.

Experiment on MacBook Pro from work confuses me even more: now 321 items are synchronized (still over 100 missing).
I have created diagnostics and sent them to support+forum@agilebits.com, but did not get an ID to post here...

ID came after all: [#DPY-55692-633]

Seems like AgileBits found the problem and a solution!
However, I have several new problems after converting...
Support per email has been excellent so far, so I hope we can work this out as well.

Thanks, XIII. Glad to hear progress is being made. :)

After receiving some additional information from the AgileBits support team I decided to create new vaults (by exporting/importing my data via 1PIF files). It seems like I retained everything (password history and even the contents of the trash bin). All problems disappeared. Everything is working fine so far!

I still wish it hadn't needed to go this far but all props to you for sticking with it and remaining determined and optimistic @XIII. I'm pretty sure you deserve a nice long stretch of stuff simply working now!
