What if it is frozen at the installing stage so you can neither delete nor launch the app?

The question says it all. iOS 9, tried to update.

    Thanks for taking the time to write in.

    Unfortunately I've seen this with all sorts of iOS apps ever since the launch of the App Store. In most cases restarting the device and making sure it has a good connection to the internet will resolve the issue.
