When trying to access a website, my username turns pink, and I am locked out of the website.

I am unable to enter a credit card website. When one password enters the user name and password, the user name turns pink and I can't enter the website. If I manually enter the user name and password, I can enter the web site. Also, if I try to enter the website via the internet, and not through the onepassword browser, onepassword will not enter either the user word or password. I have deleted the information from onepassword and then re-entered the information, and the same thing happens.

This does not happen on my iMac.

  • Hi @who6386, thanks for taking the time to write in. I'm sorry about the trouble you're having filling in the login information on your credit card's website. Can you give me some detail about what exactly is happening?

    1. When you view the site in 1Browser and you choose your login information, are both the username and the password fields filled in, or just one or the other?
    2. When you use Safari on your iOS device and use the 1Password Extension (instructions on enabling it here: https://support.1password.com/guides/ios/enable-extension.html and using it here: https://support.1password.com/guides/ios/fill-items-safari.html), does it fill in anything?
    3. Have you verified that the information in this login within 1Password is correct?

    1. Both user name and password fill in.

    2. No. It does not fill in. The extension does not show the website for which I am trying to log in.

    3. Yes the informatio is correct. No problem logging in on my Imac with same user name and password.

  • Hi @who6386 ,

It sounds like the site is redirecting to a mobile version of the site with a different URL. The following may help:

    1. In Safari on your iOS device, go to the website. Copy the URL from the address bar.
    2. Open 1Password, end edit the login item for that website. Add the URL you just copied to the item and save.
    3. Now try to go to the site and log in again. Let us know if that helps.

    Cheers,
    Kevin
