Can different people back up one "family iCloud" account with different user accounts?

I set up a "family" identity for email, iTunes and AppStore. So it has has an iCloud account that we can use to back up to. Can both my daughter and I use for syncing and yet have our own accounts. I want to be able to have my own vault and just share a vault with her that will auto update and have her have the ability to also have her own private vault. In other words... What's the best way for both of my daughter and I have our own private stuff with an option of a self updating section or vault that sync as I change it (only I should be able to change it.)

Thanks for taking the time to write in.

Unfortunately what you've described is not currently possible, however we are looking very closely at how we might be able to make it possible in the future.

Currently iCloud sync only supports a single vault per Apple ID, and does not support sharing between Apple IDs (the latter is a limitation of iCloud itself).

(only I should be able to change it.)

1Password does not currently have "user accounts" per se, such that you could limit the access one individual has to a vault. There are no access permissions. Access is full access.

The closest you could get to this sort of setup would be to create a secondary vault from within 1Password for Mac or 1Password for Windows and then sync that with Dropbox. We do not typically recommend sharing primary vaults directly:

    Multiple vaults: https://support.1password.com/guides/ios/multiple-vaults.html

I hope that helps. Should you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to ask.

    Ben
