On all my iOS devices, Safari works with one password just beautifully. On Google Chrome when one password is selected the only item that appears is a user ID login. There is no Credit card information or identities or a new login option. I have four devices, iPhone 5 and iPhone 6Plus and iPad mini and iPad4. one password reacts exactly the same way on all four devices. All are running on iOS 9.1 and the latest 1Password 6.02. At some time earlier and I don't recall how far back, perhaps five or six months ago, chrome did work just as Safari works. Alas it no longer functions to its full capacity on Chrome. Any help is greatly appreciated.

0212.jpg is what appears in Ipad/IPhone Chrome. Safari shows all the Credit Card and Identities and the ability to add a new login.

  • Good afternoon @Chasalz3613. Are you referring to how the 1Password Extension works in Google Chrome on iOS? Chrome actually implements its own web form filling and doesn't use 1Password's implementation, so you'd need to reach out to Chrome support about this particular problem. You can find support for Chrome here: https://support.google.com/chrome/?hl=en

Similarly with Identity and Credit Card filling, that's something that the awesome devs over at Google will need to add support for.

If you'd like to go in depth on our filling support you can read our blog post here: https://blog.agilebits.com/2015/08/27/1password-app-extension-web-view-filling/

Sorry for the trouble here, please let me know if there's anything else I can help with.

I am not sure why you are mentioning chrome as a problem. I can pull up one password in chrome but what appears is only the login and nothing else. previously one password displayed exactly the same way it does and Safari when meeting ID or credit card information

  • Hi @Chasalz3613. Sorry for the confusion. Chrome for iOS is a third party app, whereas Safari is not. With Safari we are able to provide a full range of features in the 1Password Extension ourselves, but in order for certain features to appear in third party apps, like Chrome, the developers of those apps need to support those features.

Can you tell me which version of Chrome for iOS you are using? I'd be happy to run some tests here and see what I can find out.

Sorry if I misunderstood the comments and linked article you forwarded to me. However I do recall that earlier versions of chrome on iPad did Display the additional One password data in it . The iPad/iPhone version of Chrome I am using Currently was just updated and is: version 46.0.2490.73.

@Chasalz3613: Not a problem. I'm sorry for the confusion! As MrRooni mentioned, it's up to the developers of the app to add support for the 1Password extension; we can't force it on anyone. Similarly, while Chrome has added support for the 1Password extension in general, they have opted not to allow Identity and Credit Card filling:

So you would need to let the developers of Chrome know that you'd like them to add support for Identity and Credit Card filling with 1Password. It isn't guaranteed that they will, but it also isn't something that AgileBits can make them do. After all, it's their app! But if they've listened to their users and added the extension in the first place, they may grant this request as well. Cheers! :)
