iCould sync: Why does it not recognise my master password?

Hello,

I can open the 1Password App with my Master Password. When I try to do a sync via iCould, I get asked about the Masterpassword again. This time it will not recognise ma password.
Do I do something wrong?

Have you recently changed your master password on your Mac? If so you need to enter the old master password on your iOS device to allow the change to sync and then you should be able to use the new master password on that device.

If that doesn't apply to you when you post again please tell us what version of 1P for Mac you are using.

Hi Stephen,
I do not own a mac. I try to transfer the data from an iPhone to an new iPhone. The iTunes sync. did not work.
Yes, when I startet with 1P I changed the Masterpassword, as the first one was far to complex.
I thought the old was was obsolete after changing it. So I do not have it anymore.
Is there a way to transfer the data without knowing the old password, or do I have to write the data manually out of 1P, de-install and re-install it?

Hi @MarcusLeyendecker ,

Do you still have your older phone? And does it have all of your 1Password data? If it does, follow the instructions here on your old phone:

1. Make a backup by going to Settings->Advanced and tap Create Backup
2. Follow the instructions at the following page to remove the data from iCloud - again ONLY do this if you have all of your data on your phone. https://support.1password.com/icloud-remove-data/ios.html
3. Then, turn iCloud sync back on (still on the old phone), and it will resync the data.

After that, you should be able to turn iCloud sync on on your new iPhone, and your current master password should work.
