Lost all my passwords
I have had this app for months now, and it is a lifesaver. However , I awoke this morning to find that my Icon was not on my phone. It's gone and I have never done a backup to iCloud or anything else to my knowledge. I did do an IOS update yesterday but I don't know if that would have wiped the app out. I'm not very tech savvy so can anyone help me with what to do ??? I had a lot of important passwords that I need. Is there a way to get all that back? I re downloaded the app but it's asking me to start all over. Please please help and thank you.

App disappear after IOS update ? Your 1password data should be in iCloud so reinstall the app as existing user should solve the problem.
If not and there is a backup of your iPhone from before the IOS update restore your iPhone backup 1password run de IOS update again.0 -
Hi @sherrin69,
Thanks for taking the time to write in with this issue. We have heard some reports of this, and it seems it may be related to apps that were installed using a different Apple ID than the one you are logged into when performing the upgrade. Unfortunately we do not have any control over this process, it is handled entirely by Apple / the App Store / iOS.
As hanspaint mentioned the only way to get that information back would be to restore from some sort of backup. We offer a backup utility right within 1Password:
https://support.1password.com/ios-itunes-backups/
This is the most reliable way to backup and restore your data. Of course in order to be effective you would've had to have made a backup just prior to upgrading.
If you had synced your data elsewhere (Dropbox, iCloud, WiFi to Mac or Windows) it would be possible to re-establish that sync to bring your data back over:
https://support.1password.com/guides/ios/syncing.html
And as a last resort there are device backups, either in iTunes or iCloud, if enabled, that you could try restoring from:
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203977
Unfortunately if you didn't have any of these set up prior to the loss then a restoration would not be possible, and that data would be gone.
I hope that helps. Should you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to ask.
Ben
