iOS 9 gmail how to log in

I am a long time 1password user, I just updated to ver. 5 on my MacBook Air, and I recently purchased my first smartphone, a iPhone 6s Plus, running iOS 9. I have a Google account, with Gmail, and would like to be able to go directly to Gmail from the Mail icon. It appears that this is not possible. Is this correct, or am I missing something? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi @paul_57,

    Thanks for taking the time to write in. I'm not entirely sure I understand your question, as I'm not seeing how it relates to 1Password. If you want your Gmail emails to be accessible in Mail.app there are settings for that in the iOS Settings app under Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account > Google.

    If I've misunderstood please let me know. Any additional clarifying details you can provide would be appreciated.
