Sorry, but Apple will not allow that. In any event, it is an Apple issue rather than an AgileBits issue (because AgileBits has no control over, or access to, the App Store) so if you really want to try you'll have to ask Apple.

  • Hi @i43654,

Thanks for taking the time to contact us. I'd recommend changing back to the Apple ID that has your purchases on it. Apple really intends for each individual to have their own Apple ID, and only one per person. They do not, as far as I'm aware, allow any purchases to be transferred from one Apple ID to another.

As Stephen mentioned we do not have access to Apple's systems to deal with any Apple ID related issues, so Apple would be the best place to get a definite answer on this, but I'm fairly confident they will tell you the same as I've said above.

    Thanks!

Hi, I was locked out of my apple id and no longer have a recovery key. I therefore had to create a new apple id and I am now using that for my 1password. However, updates are no longer working. Is there a way to confirm my purchase under [email address removed to protect privacy on this public forum]? I can download again from Agilebits or Apple if necessary. Please just let me know what steps I need to take.

    Hi @Gardee

Sorry that you got locked out of your Apple ID. Unfortunately Apple does not give us the ability to look up or make modification to purchase details for App Store purchases.

Hmmm. That doesn't sound right. I have a confirmation number and receipt I can forward to you. Can you give me an email to send to?

You won't have a receipt from AgileBits for the iOS version, since it is only sold from the iTunes App Store, nowhere else. You may indeed have one from AgileBits for the desktop version, but unfortunately, that won't help with the iOS version and all the issues you are having with changing Apple IDs. I've gone around with Apple trying to get them to merge two Apple IDs when one was created by accident, and they refused. Very annoying!

  • I wish there were more that we could do but we do not run the App Store or Apple IDs. Apple holds all the cards when it comes to purchase related issues for iOS apps.

Having had a similar situation I can confirm what's been said.

Your problem is with Apple and you will have to work with them to recover your old Apple ID.

Regrettably if you abandon an Apple ID you loose all the purchases you made with it.

Thanks @JeromeM for jumping in and confirming. I wish we could do anything to help.

Thank you @hawkmoth, it's been a nightmare dealing with Apple ID. Don't lose your recovery code with 2-factor.

@Winnie - I've brought over 40+ licenses to Agilebits from my company. I'm confident someone at your company can work with me. Can you please have someone from mgmt contact me directly? Thank you in advance.

  • Hi @Gardee,

Could you please drop us an email to support+forums@agilebits.com and include a link to this thread? You should receive an automated reply from BitBit with a support ID. Please post that ID here.

    Thanks.
