Hey,

I have an iPhone and Macbook Pro. When I type the vault password into OSX, it works fine. When i type the same password into the iOS, it refuses to work. I've patiently typed it over and over again for a week. Nothing. Please help.

Ive tried deleting/reinstalling app. Everything is up to date, etc.

1Password Version: 5.4

Have you recently changed your master password on your Mac?

When you post again Please tell us what version of 1Password for iOS you are using.

    Hi @sggabs,

sorry for the troubles you are having with the master password.

As @Stephen_C mentioned it would be good to know if you changed your master password recently and which version of our iOS app you are using.

On other thing I'd like you to check is that your Mac is indeed syncing with iCloud.

    Thanks a lot.

I did update my master password on my OSX a week ago.

Update: I tried syncing but the iCloud sync has the old password that I mispelled. Because of that, I had to recall the previous stored backup with the first password I had.

How can I delete the iCloud backup or create a new one?

I was able to sync via wifi not icloud. i would like to do it via icloud. Thanks.

  • Hi @sggabs ,

You do not have to delete your iCloud data to change the password. Just open 1Password on your iPhone, turn iCloud sync back on, and when asked, enter the old password.

Then, on your iPhone, change your password to the new one (the same one you do on your Mac), and the next time it syncs (you can perform a manual sync in Settings -> Sync), it will update with the new password.

If you have any trouble with that, please let us know.

    Regards,
    Kevin
