1Password and Chrome extensions
Hi,
I have a question, related to 1Password extension. We've developed Chrome extension to decrypt Evernote notes directly inside the browser. In order to decrypt the note user must specify password in the Bootstrap dialog window. The question is - can I use 1Password to Auto-Fill the password field?
Chrome extension can be downloaded here:

Thanks in advance and best regards,
Alexey

Hi @alexey_saferoom,
You will have varying degrees of success depending on the platform you're interested in. In 1Password for Windows we have something called auto-type which allows 1Password for Windows to fill into anything. This feature isn't using the extension but instead a feature in Windows.
On the Mac we don't have auto-type but trust me it's on most of our wish lists. Sadly it means here we won't be able to fill directly as the extension works on the contents of a tab and alters the DOM directly. Now I'm not a developer but I believe that's not possible based on how extensions work. If you were to tell me I was wrong I'd hold my hands up and grab a dev to take a peek but my limited understanding would suggest that on the Mac we're limited to copy and paste unless we can get some sort of auto-type here too.
Does that answer your question at all? If it generates more questions please do ask and I'll do my best or conceded defeat and ask somebody to high-five me and jump in
