New category request: generic 'Accounts' or 'Bills'

It would be great if the next release could have a generic 'Accounts' or 'Bills' category, something to track accounts for regular household bills like hydro, cable, highway toll route etc..

    Thanks for taking the time to write your suggestion here.

    I'm not sure exactly what you mean by that. Do you mean that you want to actually save the data from actual bills your receive (like how much is owing, taxes, paid etc) into 1Password? And furthermore you'd want to reference/tabulate that data in the app?

    Nothing that complicated. 1Password has categories like Login, Identity, Credit Card etc. I read on the forums that there are no plans in the near future to give users the option to create their own category so a generic Account category would be useful. I realize any of the other categories can be used to store the information, I just find there are certain account types that don't really fit any of the currently available categories.

    Thanks, @MagD. If there is an associated website that you'll be logging into you'll likely want a Login item at a minimum, and possibly another item type as well.

    For example for my cable internet account I have a Login item which stores the credentials for their website so I can pay bills, change services, etc, but then I also have a Secure Note in which I store my account number, customer support telephone number, static IP information, etc.

    Additional categories are something we can certainly continue to take into consideration for the future, but we do not have any immediate plans at this point.
