Fewer items in vault after OPVault conversion

I converted from .agilekeychain to .opvault this morning on my Mac. Deleted 1pass app on my phone, reinstalled and resynced to Dropbox.

Problem 1: iOS app crashed after selecting sync with Dropbox and decryption with my master password. I can see my items for a second or so and then the app crashes. Tried at least 5 times and the same thing happens every time. Ended up having to create a new vault on start up. Then add my regular vault as an "additional" vault.

Problem 2: Once I was able to add my regular vault, the number of vault items did not match up with with the desktop version. There were half the number of favorites and many logins and identities missing. I thought this was an issue with Dropbox but any items created from iOS **do **get synced to the desktop version correctly. Additionally, syncing between Windows and Mac works fine. Only iOS seems to be afflicted.

I have the latest versions of 1password on iOS 9.1, Windows 10 and Mac (Lion).

I have a similar problem as your 2nd problem. AgileBits fixed that in the Beta (on Mac). You might try that?

Can you elaborate further? How will installing the Mac beta fix vault issues in iOS?

    @prj,

There were some problems with the OPVault code reading older entries due to format changes. The beta releases resolve these issues.

@Mrc @XIII I updated to Mac Beta and the problem still persists. Is there something I have to do with my vault?

@prj - hold tight. One of the AgileBits folks will come along shortly and respond.

    Hi @prj,

I'll avoid the gory details unless you really want but the gist is that the OPVault container created by the current stable version of 1Password can result in one or more bands not being visible to 1Password for iOS. It doesn't happen to everybody and how the beta version of 1Password can help is by creating an OPVault container that doesn't suffer this issue. What it means is simply downloading the beta won't be sufficient, you would need to disable sync, delete the malfunctioning OPVault container and create a new one. We're adding fixes to both 1Password for Mac and iOS after we discovered this issue. The fixes in 1Password for iOS should appear shortly and the fix in 1Password for Mac is available right now in the beta.

Sorry for the delay in responding!

@littlebobbytables Thanks for the reply, I suspected that was the case.

Follow up question: I have several vaults, the only vault that is afflicted is my primary vault. How would I go about deleting and recreating a primary vault in the Mac app without affecting my secondary?

    Greetings @prj,

I think you might be misunderstanding as to the severity. For most people afflicted by this (some have been really unlucky in the transition but kept fighting through) all you should need to do is the following.

    1. Download the 1Password for Mac beta.
    2. Disable sync for the problematic vault, deleting the the existing OPVault.
    3. Re-enable sync for the vault, letting 1Password for Mac (beta) create a new OPVault.

So it's deleting and re-creating the sync container which is very different from your vault. Hopefully a much less daunting task
