Clipboard not erased after 30 sec.
Here's something that confused me a lot! I recognized that the clipboard is still filled with copied PW even when the settings are set to erase clipboard after 30 sec. In my opinion a security issue!!! If tried various settings, but the last copy still remains in the clipboard until another copy will override it! Please help on that!
Regards,
Mike

Hi @madmax24,
In iOS an app doesn't have as much control as it does on say OS X. Why do I mention this? if you quit 1Password from iOS's multitasking window then 1Password for iOS isn't in active memory to clear the clipboard at the required time. If you have a lot of applications partially loaded and iOS unloads 1Password for iOS the same applies. What I would be curious to is if you close down all active apps, load 1Password for iOS and then try does it still not clear the clipboard? I ask as this feature continues to work as expected for me (just confirmed now).

Hi lillteboobytables,
thank you for your quick reply! After your email I've tried various scenarios. After copied a pw, leave 1PW open while all other apps closed from multitasking: copied pw is still there. Then copy a pw and close 1PW after copied (with and without open various apps in multitasking): copied pw is still there. IMHO the deletion doesn't seem to work as expected in iOS. I'll try on my Mac later and post my results asap.

Hello @madmax24,
It's tenuous but are you copying the password by tapping on the password and selecting copy from the small iOS menu that pops up or are you editing an item and selecting the contents of the field and selecting copy?
I've tried 1Password 6.0.2 (the stable version) on my iPhone 6 and the beta version, 1Password 6.1 on my iPad and both behave so something quirky is going on here. What I will say is on the iPhone the paste option disappears completely when the clipboard is cleared but on the iPad the paste option remains but there is nothing in the clipboard.
Something worth giving a shot might be to set the Clear Clipboard setting to Never, close 1Password, reopen and then set it to the required duration. Maybe resetting it will kickstart something on the assumption that the saved setting is borked somehow.

Hello @littlebobbytables,
After your last post I've tried both: copying the password by tapping on the password and selecting copy from the small iOS menu that pops up as well as by editing an item and selecting the contents of the field and selecting copy!
In both scenarios the pw remains on the clipboard even when the clear clipboard setting is set to never, closing 1PW, reopen it and set to required duration. Nothing helps. BTW, the problem occurs on both mentioned devices with latest 1PW production release.

Just to clarify, as I didn't see a "yes" or a "no" answer above: 1Password needs to be running (at least in the background) in order to execute the command to clear the clipboard. Are you killing 1Password from the app switcher before it has a chance to clear the clipboard?
If not, I'd like to ask you to create a Diagnostics Report from your iOS device:
https://support.1password.com/diagnostics/ios.html
Attach the Diagnostics Report to an email message addressed to support+forum@agilebits.com.
Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.
You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here so we can track down the report and ensure that it is dealt with quickly. :)
Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks very much!

many thanks for clarifying this! As advised I've copied a pw out of 1PW without killing the application and 'tattaaa' the pw was deleted from the clipboard as expected after the time setting up within the 1PW app. Both works fine for all my iOS devices as well as for my Mac! So, no issue on that and good to know that the 1PW app needs to be running in the multitasking to ensure the clipboard deletion is able to work!
Sorry for the confusion!
Thank you for your support (also for @littlebobbytables)!
Cheers,
Mike0
