Touch ID for Iphone 5s problem

When I try to use Touch ID on my 1 password (Version 6.0.2 pro copy), the lock icon slides up and a message pops up "Touch ID for 1Password" Unlock 1Password" and an option to Cancel. There is no option to open and only cancel which loops it back to the Login screen. The only way to get in is manually type the password. I have reloaded the app. I have turned off Touch ID on the app and also on IOS but still the same issue. Thanks.

  • Hi @laurentfox,

Thanks for taking the time to contact us. I'm sorry to hear about the trouble, but I'm also sorry to say I'm not entirely sure I understand what the trouble is. It sounds like, from your description, this is working as intended. When the popup comes up that says "Touch ID for 1Password" "Unlock 1Password" you place your registered finger on the Touch ID sensor to unlock 1Password. There is no further action required (no "open" button).

If you are still having an issue could you please elaborate / clarify?

    Thanks.

Hi Ben, I'll try to clarify. Before, I would get the Login screen like this (attch 1). I would touch it and it would open 1Password. Now when I touch it, the key icon slides up and I get a pop up box that says to unlock but there is no where to touch to unlock, only the cancel button is active (attch 2). The only thing you can do is cancel and then you are back to the start where you can manually put in the password. Is that clearer? Thanks Laurent

  • Laurent,

When that 2nd screen appears you simply place your registered finger on the Touch ID sensor (home button) without depressing the button.

    Thanks Ben,
That definitely worked. I don't know why but I thought it used to work before on the first screen. I don't recall having to Touch ID twice but no worries, that works for me. Thanks for the great product. Cheers Laurent

  • Excellent. You're very welcome Laurent. And thank you for the kind words. If there is anything else we can do, please don't hesitate to contact us.
