Syncing bug - plus solution, I think (clue: multiple vaults)
Main source is latest 1P on my 10.10.5 iMac: v5.4. I just updated both my iPad and my iPhone earlier this evening, so v6.1 now. I don't use the mobile versions too often, but they're important for the odd time I need them.
Problem that I spotted earlier this evening was that I created a new entry for Evernote on my iMac. After sorting out the web and desktop app logins there, I moved over to my iPad to get it updated. I fired up 1P and waited for the sync (via iCloud) to pull the new version of the password. And waited. And waited. I went to Settings > Sync and saw the icon spin a couple of times, but when I went looking for the new password, it still showed the old password. "Oh bother", I thought…
Same problem happened on my iPhone.
Then, after a while - and getting rather worried - I noticed Settings > Vaults. I went in there and went into Primary. (I recently set up a secondary Vault, synced via DropBox) and saw that the Last Sync was actually some time ago, in spite of having seen the main icon animate. When I "manually" clicked the Sync Now link, that did the trick. I was finally able to get my new 20 character Evernote password.
I think the "high-level" Sync (ie at Settings > Sync) is doing something… I'm fairly sure that on my iPhone it began at 106 items and has over the time I've taken to type this up has synced the number to 104 items. But it's not actually showing the two test items I added specially - never mind the modified Evernote account. Finally clicking the Settings > Vaults > Primary > Sync Now Dammit link finally did it.
I'm assuming that I should be getting real-time, live automatic syncing? I'm pretty certain I was before…
I guess this is something to do with having the second Vault. The default setting with the new 6.1 iOS app has the new All Vaults setting enabled. Yup - I just set the All Vaults setting off and back to Primary - the old way. I added another test account and it appeared on the mobile devices automagically.
Sorry for the train of thought style of writing here, but I think that has identified a definite syncing bug with the All Vaults mode.
Hope this helps.

Hi @garythemacguy,
Sorry to hear about the difficulty with iCloud sync. Could you please let me know if you add a new Secure Note to the Primary vault on each device that is uniquely named (e.x. "iMac test note", "iPhone test note" and "iPad test note") which notes appear on which devices? Basically I'm trying to figure out if sync is working automatically now, and if not which device(s) might be having the difficulty.
We don't typically recommend syncing with both Dropbox and iCloud (or multiple sync sources of any kind). Is there a reason you stuck with iCloud for the primary vault despite having to use Dropbox for the secondary?
Thanks!
Ben

Also having syncing issues with 1Password 6.1 on iOS 9.1 on iPhone 5s and 1Password Mac 5.4.1 on OS X 10.10.5 on Macbook 13" late 2011. Have multiple vaults (two). Using Dropbox syncing. Changes are no longer being reflected/updated on the other.
Looking at the sync settings on iOS show it just synced but data isn't reflecting changes made on Mac. Only after clicking "Sync Now" under the particular vault settings does it update.
Changes made on iOS are not reflected on the Mac. And I don't see options on the Mac version to force a "Sync Now". Thought there used to be.
Also, as an aside, after quitting 1Password for Mac and relaunching, it at times doesn't require the master password. Is this normal?

Good morning @garythemacguy and @ern741, thanks for taking the time to write in. We have indeed identified a bug with syncing while using multiple vaults. It would appear that while in All Vaults we're not actively syncing each vault. Switching to each vault should be enough to kick off a sync, but you can also force it using the "Sync Now" button (or, as Gary put it, the "Sync Now Dammit" button).
We are working to get this one fixed up for the next release. Thanks for the report, and thanks for your patience.

Hi @bwoodruff
Sorry for not being able to get back in touch sooner – it's been a busy couple of days. You asked "Is there a reason you stuck with iCloud for the primary vault despite having to use Dropbox for the secondary?"
Simple: (a) I was already set up and had been running for several months using iCloud for what was originally not only my primary vault but my sole vault. (b) when I was setting up the second vault, I don't recall seeing any warning in your online documentation. I wanted a second vault and I also wanted minimum impact on my existing setup.I'd ask you "why on earth can I not have both vaults in iCloud?"
Hi @MrRooni
I'm glad you were able to identify the bug. I will look forward to the next release. Presumably we're not talking about the v6.1.1 which came out today, rather it'll be v6.1.2 or later? Thanks guys. :)

I'd ask you "why on earth can I not have both vaults in iCloud?"
Heh, yes, a fair question. I'm not sure if there are other technical reasons why, but one of the reasons it has not become a top priority to develop is that iCloud has no sharing features. Even if we were to make it possible to sync multiple vaults with iCloud, there would be no way to share those vaults with anyone. Most people have secondary vaults with the intention of sharing one or more of those vaults with other people. I understand that is not universally the use case, but that is most often the reason for wanting more than one vault.
If all goes according to plan the fix should be in v6.2.
Thanks!
Ben
