Before I ask my question, I'm new and find it difficult at the best of time to understand what some of you might well deem simple.

Now the question. When using my iPhone 6s plus, and trying to sign into Google in particular, but it can be other sites too, I can't open 1Password.

I try to scroll the bottom and top of the phone hoping to find a link to 1Password but theirs none. Then I try opening 1Password by leaving the open page (in this case Google), finding my login details on 1 Password and trying to see if that would take me the the login page for my Google account.

Please help I'm stuck. I do love 1Password as most do but it is getting a little too technical for us old silver surfers, and the only way I can keep using 1Password is to ask in the hope of you nice people helping/guiding me in what I hope will be laymen terms.

I have got iCloud and Google Cloud but again I'm learning, so I'm not sure on what you mean by "Sync Type" - Sorry.

Bless you all, and thanks in advance.

  • Good morning @NevetsNagrom! Thanks for taking the time to write in. First off, big kudos for using the term "silver surfers". I'm definitely going to use that in the future. :)

From what you're describing, it sounds like you're trying to sign into the Google.com website on your phone, but are having a hard time getting the information out of 1Password. In that case, you should look into using the 1Password extension. We have some pretty good instructions for setting that up and using it here: https://support.1password.com/guides/ios/extension.html

If anything in that guide is confusing, or if I misread the situation please write back and let me know. We'll get you sorted out!
