Hi
I downloaded latest the latest update on my iPad a few hours ago and now the app keeps asking for my master password every 30 seconds or so.
Hope you can help sort this out.

It's not really possible to provide any sensible guidance without some key information. Please tell us:

    • What version of 1Password for iOS you are using. (I'm assuming it's 6.1.1 but assumptions are dangerous so please confirm.)
    • Your iOS version number
    • Your settings under Settings >Security > Auto-Lock
    • Your setting under Settings > Advanced > Security > Require Master Password

    Hi @janscown,

Thanks for taking the time to let us know about the trouble you're experiencing. If you could take a few minutes to answer Stephen_C's questions, that would be helpful!

    Thanks :)

Sorry for the lack of info. The 1Password version is 6.1.1 and the iOS version is 9.1. Under 1Password's Settings>Security>Autolock the value is 10 minutes. Under 1Password's Advanced tab I could see no Security (let alone Require Master Password).

However, I decided to check 1Password's performance today before sending this off to you and, lo and behold, yesterday's problem is no longer there. So no problem to solve after all

I had this same problem. But it seems to have cleared up on its own. If Yu find others reporting the same issue, please let us know what caused the problem. Thanks.

I have the same problem now. Also my finger touch is not working either! IOS version is 9.1 other are same as janscown!!

  • Hi @cjli,

Do you have Touch ID enabled for the device itself? If not, that needs to be enabled for 1Password to use it. If so, could you please try toggling that off and then back on (and also then do so within 1Password), and see if that resolves the problem?

    Thanks!

Hi. I have the same problem. 1Password 6.1.1 on iOS 9.1. Touch ID enabled for device but not for 1 password. Auto Lock is set to 10 mins. I don't have security under advanced in Settings.

Worked fine until the 6.1.1. update.

    I sync with Dropbox.over 1100 items in 1 vault.

Seems to work fine in settings. And I have now gone back to look at passwords etc and it seems to be working fine too. Perhaps it needs to complete a sync? Perhaps if you go to settings and wait there a while and then look at passwords it will be OK.

I will update again if I get any more issues.

After I left that comment yesterday my 1Password didn't lock for perhaps 30 minutes. I kept going back to my phone and 1Password was still unlocked. It did finally lock though.

Later in the day the problem of it locking after 15/30 seconds still occurred.

    When will this be fixed?

Is anyone working on resolving this issue?

Is this related to the touch ID issue?

Can a statement be made by Agilebits about this issue, just so we know something is happening?

    When is a fix due?

    Hi @itisilefunk,

It sounds like something funky may be going on with your installation. I'd like to ask you to create a Diagnostics Report from your iOS device so we can take a look at your configuration and see if we can figure out what is going on. Instructions are below:

    https://support.1password.com/diagnostics/ios.html

Then attach the entire file to an email to us: support+forum@agilebits.com

Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.

A short note here once you've sent the Report in will help us to keep an eye out for it. :)

Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks in advance!

    Hi.

I used 1Password on iOS last night without incident. So it seems the issue resolved itself.

As multiple people were affected by this do you have any idea what the cause was and how it resolved itself?

    cheers

  • Thanks for the update! Glad to hear it works now. Unfortunately I don't have further details at this point.
