Unable to use Touch ID after update to 6.1.1

Hi all,

I've just updated to 6.11, but I've lost the ability to log in using Touch ID on my iPhone 6S+, it just keeps asking me for my Master Password.

All the settings are correct (and unchanged):

Lock on Exit=On.
Auto Lock=10 Minutes.
Touch ID=On.

Just me?

  • Hi @neilc,

Sorry to hear of the trouble. Could you please try turning Touch ID for the device itself (in the Settings app) off and then back on? You may also need to then turn Touch ID in 1Password off then back on.

Please let us know if that resolves the issue.

    Ben

Ben I am having the exact same problem. 1password wasTouch id activated and now your app asking me for the master password - which I know and use for all devices.

I did what you suggested above and that did not work.

My master password is NOT accepted by your 6.1.1 software. I cannot get 1password to update from my icloud backup.

For the record, I haven't changed anything since I posted this thread and mine is now working!

Sorry I can't be any more help than that.

thanks neilc The problem seems to be with 1password. Frustrating to get NO help from them. I too did not change any settings and am using the masterpassword that I use all devices.

    Software bug?

    Hi @annakonrad,

It seems that you have posted your issue on several different threads which makes it hard for us to know what methods you have tried and where you are in the troubleshooting process. Since you seem to have gotten the furthest along in this thread here I recommend that you simply continue the conversation there.

So do I need to repurchase your app?

    Hi @annakonrad,

No. You should probably delete the version you have and download a new version. But you will not have to repurchase it if you have a current version right now.
