    Please tell us:

    • What browser(s) you are having trouble with (and the version number(s) of the browser(s))
    • The exact error message you see

    Stephen

  • Hey @Hemion! Could you give us a bit more info, as Stephen mentioned? That'll help us figure out what may be going on. Since you reported that you're syncing with iCloud, you may have purchased from the Mac App Store, in which case this sticky will help you get things sorted out. :)

@Hemion, thanks—but you still have not told us the exact wording of the error message that you see. Knowing that will help us to help you.

    Stephen

  • @Hemion As Stephen mentioned, we'll still need the error that you're receiving to help you out.

Currently operating El Capitain. Could not install 1 password 6 without getting error messages. Have installed extensions for Firefox. Still no help. Have removed older 1 password v. 3.8.22 and new 1 password 6; then reinstalled 1 password 6; still no help and still get same error messages. Have used Terminal in Utility folder and pasted recommended command; still get same error. Have looked for extraneous old files in library and can find none. Is there someplace else where old files from 3.8.22 might be lurking?

  • Hi @Hemion ,

Apple has just updated our extension in their gallery. Can you try going into the Safari Preferences, select Extensions, and then select our Extension and click update? Please let us know if that worked for you.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

  • Hi @Frank Kaylor ,

I'm sorry you are having trouble with Firefox. Have you tried installing the extensions (using the "Install Browser Extensions" command in the 1Password menu) since upgrading to 1Password 6? That should put a newer version of the extension in Firefox.

If you haven't, please Quit Firefox, Install the Extensions, and start Firefox again. If you get an error, please let us know what the error message is. With that information, we should be able to help you further.

    Regards,
    Kevin
