1password on my iphone is no longer syncing with dropbox - please help
1Password is no longer syncing my two vaults with dropbox. I have restarted my phone, dropped the dropbox link and recreated it, uninstalled dropbox but still with no joy. It gets to the point of selecting the vault from my dropbox account so the link to dropbox must be working for it to see the various files available but then just hangs when it is downloading the encryption keys.
I don't know if this is due to me creating some 1-time passwords within iOS - although they are only in the primary vault not the secondary one? However this did happen around the same time that I noticed syncing stop. Syncing between my OSX machines through Dropbox is still fine.
1Password Version: 6.1.1 (61003)
Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: iOS 9.1 (13B143)

Hi @barnold4238, did you try the suggestions in the link that Stephen_C posted? If so, were you able to resolve your issue?
Hi @heavygenius, same question for you. Did the information in the link that Stephen_C posted resolve your Dropbox syncing issue for you?
Please let us know.

Yes I tried all of that but still with no success.

Hi @heavygenius,
Thank you for trying, and I am sorry that so far none of our suggested solutions have worked for you.
I'd like to ask you to create a Diagnostics Report from your iOS device so that we may take a look at your logs. Instructions are below:
https://support.1password.com/diagnostics/ios.html
Then attach the entire file to an email to us: support+forum@agilebits.com
Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.
A short note here once you've sent the Report in will help us to keep an eye out for it. :)
Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks in advance!

Hi
I have sent that through now and enabled logging for Dropbox and sync and then tried to start the syncing again so you can hopefully see what is going on.
Thanks.

Just to confirm we have received your report, so will continue the conversation over email :)
Cheers!

I also have the problem that updates to my 1Password apparently stopped syncing about 4 days ago. (I found one entry in my dropbox cloud site from four days ago, but none more recently). I run 1Password for Windows (Windows 10) on my laptop and the iPhone and iPad 1Password apps on my iPhone and iPad respectively. Dropbox is syncing other files essentially instantaneously, so I am pretty sure that this is not a Dropbox problem. My laptop shows that the Dropbox Agilebits... directory is listed correctly in the 1Password\Preferences\General\1Password Vault entry.
Conceivably it is relevant that I updated the OS on my iPhone and iPad about four days ago. Possibly there is something in that Apple OS update that screws up the syncing to my iPad and iPhone. Since Dropbox synced my test file correctly from my laptop to my iPhone and iPad, it is possible that something in the new Apple OS is screwing up how the Dropbox updates on the iPhone and iPad are being written into the 1Password stores on the Apple devices.Do you have a fix for this problem that works? Thanks.

I just noticed that my iPhone hasn't synced with Dropbox for 1 weeks. If I disable/enable Dropbox is says "locally cached" data will be removed? So I'll lose everything I've added to 1Password on my iPhone in the last 1 weeks? Why isn't there a warning that syncing isn't happening? This is another in a string of situations where I've lost critical info with 1Password. I used to love this app family, and maybe the problem solve in upcoming iOS 10, but I just can't trust this anymore.

Hi folks,
I'm really sorry for the trouble. Our developers are aware of an issue related to the new All Vaults view where vaults will not sync if All Vaults is the selected view. You can read more about this, and how to work around it, here:
Known vault sync issues in 1Password for iOS
I hope that helps!

I seem to have solved the problem. But now you have me confused. As I recall, one can't sync using iCloud from a Windows machine, so I have used Dropbox. I found my way to what my iPhone was trying to sync with, and it seems to have decided to switch to iCloud. (I never requested this. When and how did this happen?) So I changed my Sync service back to Dropbox, and that fixed the problem. But I am left with several questions.
1. Is it now possible to sync from a Windows machine via iCloud?
2. Settings\Sync told me that there is no password on my Dropbox 1Password folder. But I need a password to get into Dropbox. Is there supposed to be a separate password for the 1Password folder?
3. I find that there was a message for me telling me that it is important to back up my 1Password. (Of course!!). I back up my iPhone and iPad to iCloud regularly. Doesn't this back up the 1Password Vault?
4. Where can I read about the new features that are added to 1Password when my iPhone and iPad update my 1Password apps automatically? I had never received any communication from Agilebits about the new multiple vault feature.Since it took me a while to figure out how to get back to my comment above, could you send me an e-mail answering the above questions? Thanks.

Same issue here. 3 devices. One device has an updated database, others aren't getting updates. One was way behind, I removed the app and reinstalled and it got all of the updates in common with one other but is missing one VERY important account. The one device that has the most up to date database says it's syncing but it's updates aren't making it.
This is two fully up to date iOS devices and a Win7 desktop. Everything seemed to work great with iCloud but Windows apparently can't use it? I just started using this today after having had an account hacked but if I cannot count on not losing my now insane passwords I'm not sure this is a whole lot better if I cannot sync. Searching this seems to have been an issue for a year now? What's going on?

Ah, tell it you want a different DropBox account and then select the same one you've been using - it sync'd. I really hope this doesn't become a regular thing...

Sorry for the trouble! Indeed, as Ben mentioned above we're working to resolve an issue introduced by the new All Vaults feature. The workaround is to switch to the specific vault (1Password Settings > Vaults) and then it will sync normally. This will be addressed in an update. Sorry for the inconvenience!

@BLKMGK: That works too. But I find it's simpler to just tap the icon in the upper left and switch to the vault to allow it to sync.
Is it now possible to sync from a Windows machine via iCloud?
@lhunsicker: No. 1Password for Windows cannot access iCloud to sync your data.
Settings\Sync told me that there is no password on my Dropbox 1Password folder. But I need a password to get into Dropbox. Is there supposed to be a separate password for the 1Password folder?
No. You authenticate with Dropbox when you login to the account, and then you unlock your 1Password vault using your Master Password.
I find that there was a message for me telling me that it is important to back up my 1Password. (Of course!!). I back up my iPhone and iPad to iCloud regularly. Doesn't this back up the 1Password Vault?
iCloud and iTunes backups should include your 1Password data. However, even if they do, they don't always restore it properly, so it's best to backup your important data yourself! I did an iCloud restore a few days ago and ended up missing about a dozen apps and their data... :unamused:
Where can I read about the new features that are added to 1Password when my iPhone and iPad update my 1Password apps automatically? I had never received any communication from Agilebits about the new multiple vault feature.
With automatic updates enabled in iOS, you will not receive notifications for updates; and we don't know who you are, so we can't send them to you ourselves. You can, however, read the release notes by viewing the 1Password page in the App Store or directly on the AgileBits website.
