Unable to Sync iCloud iMac and iPhone After Creating a New Vault
Hello,
I previously downloaded 1Password a year ago and then forgot my password, so I decided to buy the full version and create a new vault account. When I try to sync with my iCloud on my iPhone, I get this message.
"1Password found existing data in iCloud. It will be used to create a new vault on this iPhone."
It then prompts me to "Please unlock 1Password data." however, this is my old account.
When I cancel the login to my old account, I get the following message.
"No 1Password data was found on iCloud. Ensure iCloud is enabled with 1Password on your other device."
I tried several times to login and out of iCloud and even reinstalled the iPhone app. I've attached screenshots.
Please let me know what I can do to resolve this frustrating cycle.
Thank you,
Benjamin

@idesignfast as your post relates to 1P for iOS I have moved the post from the 1Password for Mac forum to the 1P for iOS forum where you will get more help.
There is a knowledge base article that should help you:
How to reset iCloud data and start fresh
Note that because you can't open 1P on your iPhone you'll probably need to re-set on the Mac then delete and reinstall 1P on the phone (after giving iCloud a while to re-set).

Hi Steven and Ben,
After reading the documentation, I don't think the version that I am using is going to work, since I downloaded it from Agilebits. I wish there was something that would warn the purchaser that the Agilebits version doesn't support iCloud sync.
What are my options now? I have spent hours trying to make this work and don't want to go through all the instructions you sent and it still not work. Do I need to buy the other version from Apple?
Thank you,
Benjamin

Benjamin,
At present unfortunately the only way to sync with iCloud is with versions purchased from Apple. Their service, their rules, as it were.
I'm sorry I don't have the answer you were hoping for.

Ok, can I get a refund and then purchase through Apple?

Greetings @idesignfast,
If you purchased 1Password from our store in the last 30 days then we will definitely refund you if you wish to purchase the Mac App Store version for iCloud Sync support. Unfortunately it seems you're using a different email address in our forums than you used to make the purchase. If it had been the same one I could have found your record and dealt with it with no further action required on your part. Instead could you drop us an email please from the email account you used for purchasing and request an email. If you include a link to this conversation that will eliminate any questions along the lines of "is there anything we can do to help" The email address to contact us on is support+licenses@agilebits.com and you'll receive an automated reply with a ticket ID. If you were to post that ticket ID here we can ensure that if nobody has replied that we get it processed.
