I've left a few requests for help in past week without success. I am unable to sync with iCloud
I have purchased a new iPhone and am unable to sync 1password with my existing iCloud vault. I really need this access restored urgently. Many thanks

Hi @Ryanse,
I'm sorry to hear about the trouble. This is your first and only commend that I see on our forums. I checked our email inbox as well and I don't see any messages there from you either. Do you have a support ID?
What sort of difficulty do you have syncing with iCloud?

Hi Ben, thanks so much for reverting. I have typed, and I thought submitted, the request for assistance a few times but obviously not properly published it. I purchased an iPhone6 recently and had some issues syncing with my apps history as I had also moved from the UK to Ireland. I worked with Apple to have my region moved back to the UK store and they had hoped this would resolve the issue. The issue specifically is that 1Passowrd says that it is unable to sync with an existing vault. I've followed some of the recommendations WRT iClould and cellular data rebooting but without success to date. Any guidance would be very much appreciated

Hi @bwoodruff
Yes, I have quite a bit of data in iCloud which I am unable to now access. When I hit the 1Password icon on my iPhone or iPad I am asked whether I am an existing user, when I select sync through iCloud the next message is "Existing Data Not Found". I have updated 1Password and the operating system versions on my iPad.0 -
If you launch the Settings app and open
iCloud > Storage > Manage Storage
do you see a listing for 1Password? If so, how much data does it say is there?Is it possible that you are signed into a different Apple ID than the one that synced the data to iCloud originally? Or that you were using an older version of 1Password (pre-iCloud Drive)? Do you still have access to your original device?

@bwoodruff
My data quantity is 35.3KB. I do not believe I could have signed in with a different ID. I am not sure if I fully understand the next question. My phone was backed up to iCloud by the Apple Outlet before they restored my old iPhone. The restore of my old iPhone was executed as I was giving it to my son. I have access to it therefore but the history I guess has been wiped0 -
Thanks @Ryanse. 35 KB is essentially nothing, unfortunately, so it doesn't sound as if the vault was properly synced to iCloud. If it was indeed backed up the only other thing I could suggest would be to attempt restoring the backup a second time. I have actually heard reports of that helping. Beyond that, it does not appear that there is a copy of your data currently in iCloud's sync service.

@bwoodruff
okay, thanks for your assistance. If I was to try the restore you suggest how exactly would I do that? Thanks again for your assistance0 -
@bwoodruff
one further thing. When I look at storage in settings (not iCloud storage) the iPassword shows as 64.2MB. Does this provide any hope? Thanks0 -
@bwoodruff
to be clearer it seems to break down into 63.7 of App Size and 540KB of Docs & Data0 -

Apple has a guide on restoring your device from a backup here:
https://support.apple.com/en-us/ht204184
For the future we would not recommend relying on Apple's built-in backups for 1Password data. Unfortunately they have proven unreliable. 1Password has its own backup mechanism which you can read about here:
