How to open 1Password if apple ID is in 1Password?

So recently Apple has been prompting me to "login" onto iCloud and thats fine; however, i can't launch 1password from my macbook pro because it's saying "this app was purchased on the app store" and asks for my password. How am i supposed to login / get my password if i can't turn on the app?

I've bee using my phone version to bypass this for the time bringing.

Hey @asajinx! The post that Stephen linked to will help resolve this issue more permanently. You can type the password manually from reading it on your phone and you should be all set. If you have any questions, please let us know. :)
