Deleted iOS app before upgrading Mac app from 3 to 5, now iOS app won't download

iOS app was misbehaving so deleted it then it wouldn't download again. Upgraded Mac (running El Capitan) app from 3 to 5, but still can't get iOS app to download to iPad running iOS 9.1, and a look at the 'how to upgrade' help suggests not having the old app on the iPad already is a bit of a problem. iOS app on iPhone 4 seems to be running okay though and syncing via Dropbox.

1Password Version: 5.4.1
Extension Version: 4.4.3
OS Version: 10.11.1
Sync Type: Dropbox

  • Hi @Jen313,

Thanks for taking the time to write in.

If you've already removed the 1Password 3 for iOS app you will not be able to migrate the data from it. Removing the app also removes the data. Once you get the 1Password 6 for iOS app installed though you should be able to setup syncing and get your data that way.

iOS app on iPhone 4 seems to be running okay though and syncing via Dropbox.

You might want to double check that. If it has 1Password 3 for iOS on it, it cannot sync with Dropbox anymore:

Dropbox discontinued the API that 1Password 3 for iOS uses as of September 1, 2013.

    Thanks!

    Ben
