Is it possible to link items?

I thought of this when looking at the list of duplicate passwords. My email addresses were listed as having duplicate passwords, since I have an item for both the webmail login and the IMAP information. Is it possible to link these items in some way, so that they are not flagged as duplicates, since they are so closely related?

@swburk I use tags for that purpose and find that simple and effective.

    Hi @swburk,

Hopefully you find some merit to Stephen_C's suggestion although it won't help stop them being flagged.

During my marriage to 1Password (as a user) I've tried a few things here. In the end I settled (for now) on my Email Account items not containing username and password where there exists a Login item that does. What the item instead holds in these instances are all the other details you would want to know when setting up a new IMAP account in your preferred email client. This way my authorisation credentials are still in just one place and only require a single item being updated but everything is stored. It also meant instead of having say three Email Account items for different gmail addresses I could have a single generic Email Account item for Google as none of the IMAP settings change and then an individual Login item for each account.

I don't know if my style there will work for you or not but I thought I'd offer it up as maybe you will like the idea
