1Paddword for iPad not syncing automatically

I have 1Password for iOS configured to use background app refresh, and it is active (i.e. available in the app switcher) in the background.

When I open the app on my iPad, it does not automatically sync with Dropbox, but the iPhone version does. I have to go to the vault setting panel and sync it manually, which works as expected. As you can see in the attached screenshot, which was taken about 1 minute after I opened 1Password, it last synced 11 hours before I took the screenshot. When I look now, it says 2 days ago (the last time I manually synced it).

If I open the app on my iPhone and check the time it last synced, I typically see "In Progress" or "X seconds ago" depending on how quickly I get to the settings panel.

Also note that the white line dividing the categories on the left and the item details on the right continues into the top border and passes through the time display. I'd expect the line not to extend into the top border.

1Password Version: 6.1.1
Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: iOS 9.1
Sync Type: Dropbox

  • Hi @jjpulizzi

Thanks for taking the time to write in, and the feedback. We're aware of the sync issue and hope to have that fixed up in a future update.

I'll pass along the note about the display issue.

    Thanks!

    Hi Ben,

Did the latest iOS update fix the sync issue? I'm still seeing latest synced times of hours ago even after I've been in the app for a few minutes.

    Thanks,
    -James

  • Hi James,

6.2 did fix the original issue. If you re-launch 1Password does it sync? If not, I'd like to ask you to create a Diagnostics Report from your iOS device:

    https://support.1password.com/diagnostics/ios.html

Attach the Diagnostics Report to an email message addressed to support+forum@agilebits.com.

Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.

You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here so we can track down the report and ensure that it is dealt with quickly. :)

Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks very much!

    Ben
