I cannot get my ipad and iphone to sync properly with my macbook ,
HI
I am running el capitan 10.10.10 and have an iPhone 6 and a iPad mini. I have tried verifying my database , synicing and merging as well as deleting the app from my ipad and my iphone and reinstalling , yet they are still not syncing properly
with my macbook pro information on dropbox. how I have verified this is I changed the password on a couple of logins and they are updated on my macbook pro, but do not copy over to my other devices.
1Password Version: 5.4.1
Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: iOS el capitan 10.11.1
Sync Type: dropbox

Hi @waveracer,
I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble keeping things synced up lately. I've got a few basic things that we want to check regarding Dropbox first, before we get into the serious troubleshooting:
- Please ensure that Dropbox is installed and running on your computer
- Check that you are logged in with the same account on all computers and devices
- Confirm that Dropbox sync is selected in 1Password > Preferences > Sync on your Mac
- Confirm that Dropbox is selected in Settings > Sync on your iOS device
- Confirm that both your Mac and iOS device are reading from the same file path in Dropbox.
If all of those items check out, let's run a test and see where things are getting tripped up:
- Create a test entry on your Mac ("Test, Mac") and add some data
- Create a test entry on each of your iOS devices ("Test, iPhone/iPad") and add some data
- Does "Test for Mac" show up on either of your iOS devices?
- Does "Test for iPhone" and/or "Test for iPad" show up on your Mac?
Please let me know the results of this little experiment - once we have a better idea of where things are going sideways, we should be able to get this straightened out simply for you :)

Hi , it does not say sync on my mac in preferences, what I did do was in sync I chose dropbox and it is on may mac , is this correct?![]
I tool a screenshot of what I am getting on my iphone and on my ipad it says sync with dropbox and it has the same error as the iPhone(https://us.v-cdn.net/5020219/uploads/editor/xr/3la9wgvv8z7i.png "")

Hi @waveracer,
It looks like you are opening the 1Password.html file (which is the "1PasswordAnywhere" feature) within the Dropbox app. This will not work. If you want 1Password on your iPhone please install it from the App Store:
Then sync it with Dropbox, following these instructions:
https://support.1password.com/guides/ios/sync-with-dropbox.html
I hope that helps. Should you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to ask.
Ben

Thanks for the help! That wasn't it, I have the app, I believe I got it though. Somehow I think I had created 2 vaults and it was updating the new vault and not the original vault with all the information in it, I am really not sure how it worked or happened, but the vault I wanted to use hadn't been updated for about four months and that was the vault that was linked to my other devices. I deleted the primary vault file and this caused the vaults to mergwhen it asked me to and now it seems to be working.
