i accidently deleted the app 3.7.2 version. i have no computer back up just i cloud what do i do? I installed the newer app but of course no data is found. It was deleted by mistake. There was no warning or anything. I cant believe this data cant be found anywhere thats really a weak system. My phone was backed up to i cloud Wednesday night. Would that help?

I know you're in a panic situation with your data at the moment but the 1Password guys are still in bed. I'm sure you'll get a reply later on once they've had their morning coffee.
I'm no expert so probably won't be much help but it sounds like everything was ok and then you updated the version of 1Password on Windows and then it couldn't find your vaults, is that correct?
Updating 1Password shouldn't delete your vaults. Is it possible that it's just looking in the wrong place? Can you remember where you saved your vaults originally, do you use Dropbox?
Can you search your computer for .agilekeychain to see if anything turns up?
To help support it would probably be helpful to fill in the meta data that you get when you start a new post, OS version, etc

Unfortunately without some basic information it's hard to say what might be going wrong and how we might right it! Please tell me the OS, 1Password, and device versions you're using, the exact steps you're taking, and what is (or is not) happening the way you expect so we can figure out the best plan of action. The more information you can give, the better.

@Aymie86: Sorry for the confusion! Your 1Password data isn't shared with anyone or sent anywhere without your consent. It would be really, really creepy if it was. Just imagine if your data could be found somewhere you didn't put it. Your data is controlled only by you, and that means if you delete it without having a backup, you may be out of luck...

1Password 3 predates iCloud, so it isn't iCloud aware. 1Password 3 also hasn't been available in the App Store for years, so you won't be able to download the app itself from there either.
How do I get live support to recover data?
(Un)fortunately AgileBits has neither your 1Password data nor the Master Password used to secure it, so this isn't something we can 'recover' for you to help directly. You will need to either restore from a backup, sync from another device, or simply start over. Do you have an iTunes backup or .1ptbackup file you can restore from, or your vault on another device? Please let me know what you find. I look forward to hearing back from you!

I was just wondering if 1Password wasn't looking in the right place for his vaults after updating and he could File-Open-> browse to the correct location. I wasn't suggesting the data had been sent\shared with anyone.

I accidentally deleted the app 1 password on my iphone Saturday night. I believe I had an older version 3.7.2 but I have always done the updates so I dont know. I reinstalled the app hoping the data would appear and of course it didn't since the app has been upgraded and re done.
I had a backup of my phone from a few days before so to test the information in that backup we restored it to my ipad. The icon came up but when I put the master password in it goes back to the app page , it doesnt even open or give a prompt. Any time I have gotten a new phone and depended on icloud to transfer the data it transferred fine. Why now is my information gone? Is there anyway to find it? One time I got a screen to say do you want to transfer from version 3 to this version, but nothing happens. I was not backed up on my computer a windows computer but I have the old app on there and no updates for a year or so. I am really upset to lose everything and cannot believe an app like this would not have the information somewhere. Please advise.

3.7.2 was the final release of 1Password 3, so you wouldn't have gotten any further updates. Unless you upgraded to the newer app.

As I mentioned earlier, 1Password 3 didn't support iCloud, as it was made long before iCloud existed.

And again, we don't steal your data, so it isn't something we have to provide to you. That said, one option would be to try restoring your device from a backup. Unfortunately this isn't always reliable, but if you don't have your data anywhere else, that's really your only option. But first, try the steps in this guide to see if you can migrate your data from the old app to the new one:
