How to create a new vault?

So I have my main vault with all my log ins but I want to make another for my brother. I bought the pro add on for £7.99 ($9.99) thinking I could have separate ones. On a YouTube video the guy had the option to add new but I only have sync. Anyone help?

Thanks a lot!

1Password Version: Lasted for iPhone.
Extension Version: No idea.
OS Version: iOS 9
Sync Type: Not the problem

  • Hi @MrGeorgeNorth,

Sorry for any confusion -- 1Password's Pro features do enable the use of multiple vaults, but at present only our desktop products (1Password for Mac and 1Password for Windows) can actually create secondary vaults.

This can be accomplished with the demo version of either product:

    I hope that helps!

    Hi,

Thanks a lot for clearing that up. They must had taken it out in an update for iOS because in a old YouTube video I watched the guy had the option too. Hopefully they'll add it again soon but probably not.

    I appreciate it.

  • George,

    You're very welcome.

Do you have a link to the video? We've never had the ability to create a secondary vault on iOS. The only vaults 1Password for iOS can create are the primary vault, and a demo vault containing demo ("Wendy Appleseed") data.

I agree it would be nice to have this functionality on iOS, but I'm not aware of any definite plans at this point.

Any plans to allow ppl to create additional vaults in the 1Password app? Right now its only the Demo that we can create within the app.

  • Hi @wah0995,

At present I'm not aware of any plans to add that functionality to the iOS app. Additional vaults can be created using the desktop apps, or the 1Password for Families / 1Password for Teams services.
