Deleted iOS app. Reinstalled. Can't locate iCloud backup (iOS 9 backup issue!) Help!

I accidentally deleted 1Password. I reinstalled, but it can't find my iCloud backup. It says existing data not found on iCloud.

iCloud backup has had issues on my phone since iOS9 upgrade. Been a LONG time since a backup. No clue why. Won't backup even though I have 4.9 GB free space. 1Password has updated several times since my last iCloud backup...

Have I lost everything? I checked my iPhone6 in Settings > iCloud > Manage Storage. It shows a 1Password 96.2 KB file as Documents & Data. Is this a viable backup to retrieve? If so, how please? Thanks!

    Hi @rickgomez707 ,

This article from the Knowledgebase is the best place to start.

  • Good morning @rickgomez707. The KB article that @JWeaver linked may indeed be a good place to start.

Were you syncing with iCloud prior to deleting 1Password? Have you been using 1Password on any other devices or computers that may have a copy of your data?

Yes I was able to sync previous to the accidental deletion, but an update to iCloud hadn't happened for months due to a sync issue on Apple's end. Unfortunately I wasn't using any other device to keep my passwords. I looked on my iPhone, turned on an iCloud option that shows an iCloud server app... looked in... shows no data for any of the apps that are toggled on, including 1Password... :(

  • I'm sorry to hear about that, @rickgomez707. By default 1Password data is stored only on the device it is created on. You can change this either by syncing, or manually making a backup (instructions). It sounds like your sync data is out of date, and you didn't have a backup... :( I wish there were something more we could do to help here but unfortunately it sounds as though any changes that were made after sync stopped working have been lost, and would need to be manually re-entered, at this point.
